What is the difference between timber and PVC shutters?
Timber (basswood) shutters offer a warmer, more natural look and are ideal for living areas and bedrooms. PVC shutters are 100% waterproof and better suited to bathrooms, laundries and coastal homes where humidity or salt air is a factor. Both look virtually identical once installed.
What louvre sizes do you offer?
We offer 63mm, 76mm and 89mm louvre sizes across our timber and PVC ranges. Larger louvres (76mm and 89mm) are popular for their contemporary look and the wider view they provide when open.
Can shutters be painted to match my walls?
Yes — our timber shutters can be painted or stained to any colour. We most commonly supply them in Vivid White or Antique White, but we can match any paint colour on request. PVC shutters are available in a standard white range.
Are plantation shutters good for privacy and light control?
Absolutely. Shutters give you the finest control of any window furnishing — you can tilt the louvres to let in light from above while maintaining privacy at eye level, or close them completely for full blockout and privacy.
How long does shutter installation take?
Most shutter installations are completed in a single day. Because shutters are custom made to your exact window openings, lead time from order to installation is typically 3–5 weeks. Our consultant will give you an accurate timeline at your free quote.
